Fashion designer turned jewelry designer Monique Lopez resides in Greenpoint Brooklyn. She works full time as a fashion designer in Midtown NYC.
She started her jewelry line in 2007 on a small scale selling to only friends, family, coworkers and the like. The line hadn't yet had an identity, but soon after her sister wore Moniques one of a kind pieces and was asked for custom orders, Monique decided it was time to launch her line.
Alas, Justina Leigh was born; a combination of both her middle name and her sister's middle name, giving meaning to two names that rarely get any attention, while giving the line of tough gone glam jewelry an identity.
The line consists of avant-garde looks inspired by the gritty and hipster nature of her residing neighborhood, while still keeping in line with her glitzy-glam personality. The line is for the girl who is constantly reinventing herself. She's one part tomboy, one part hipster, one part girly girl, but 100% glamorous.
